Clay Roof to Asphalt Roof Repalcement in Littlefield, TX
Challenge
Fortenberry Roofing arrived at Virgina's home in early May to look over her damaged Clay/Metal roof. My project manager was very concerned by the extent of the damages he found. From the beginning, we were able to confirm that the original roof would not be able to be repaired.
Due to the severity of the damages, this roof would need to be fully removed and replaced. At first glance, we found several areas of the roof's fascia that were completely rotted out and needed replacement. The clay roofing was starting to crumble in multiple sections of the roof and had caused internal leaking in the home. Due to the nature of the damages, we walked the customer through the issues we found and suggested a roof replacement that made the most sense.
Solution
After consulting with the customer, she decided on a new IKO Asphalt Shingle roof in its place. With the higher cost of Clay and Metal roofing, Asphalt was a more cost-effective option and more visually appealing to the customer.
