Decking Damage
Once the shingles wore torn off, and the underlayment stripped down as far as it could be, the re-roof crew saw that there was damage to the decking. This wood would be removed and replaced.
Leak Area
The tenant had covered a section of the roof with a tarp due to lifted shingles and some decking damage, which began to leak into the interior of the home. The tarp worked temporarily, but of course, the West Texas wind had another plan.
Ready for Shingle Placement
The roof has been torn down to the underlayment. Once the old underlayment is replaced, the new shingles can be installed.
30 Year Laminated Shingles
The homeowner and tenant chose to go with IKO Dynasty shingles in the color Driftshake for this full roof replacement. This shingle color compliments the trim and exterior color of the rest of the house.
New and Improved
Under these new shingles and vent pipe, new decking and IKO Stormtite underlayment was placed to protect the interior of the home.
New Vent Pipe
All of the old vent pipes were replaced with new ones. Each pipe was flashed properly with an ice and water shield.
New Shingles
This is the area where the tarp previously rested. Now it has been repaired down to the decking and looks great with the newly installed IKO shingles. No more leaks!

Damaged Pipe Flashing
Many shingles on this roof had lifted or blown away, which had exposed the underlayment and decking to water damage. A lot of water had gotten to the decking of this roof to wear it was soft and could be lifted and bent.
