Mr. Burton from Lubbock, Texas, entrusted Fortenberry Roofing with his insulation needs to keep his home warm this winter. Our operational manager, Miguel, assessed the situation and identified the need to install four can light covers, a chimney wrap, and eight soffit vents. Additionally, he recommended adding up to 10 inches of cellulose insulation in the main house to achieve an R-38 value. In the garage, Miguel noted the necessity of 10 inches of cellulose insulation and replacing 2x4s between the rafters to brace the decking.   Mr. Burton was pleased with the free quote and eager to proceed. Our team lead, Leo V., began the project by installing and sealing the can light covers with Zyp foam, a polyurethane foam sealant that effectively stops air infiltration. The crew then placed rulers around the attic floor for even insulation distribution and easy height visibility. They also reinforced the broken decking with 12 new 2x4 pieces fastened to the rafters. Finally, the team blew in the cellulose insulation to meet the required 10 inches in the main home and the garage.   Mr. Burton was extremely satisfied with the results, expressing his gratitude for the warm and comfortable home provided by our diligent team.
