Photo Album: Decking Replaced in Farwell, TX

This home in Farwell, TX was having some decking issues which in return was pushing the drip edge out and causing some fascia issues as well. The homeowner enlisted Fortenberry Roofing to assess the damage and give a free estimate on what it would cost to fix the ongoing issues. The homeowner agreed with the plan Fortenberry Roofing came up with so he approved the proposal and work began once all materials were ordered and ready to go. Once the repair was finished, all of the damaged decking was replaced, ice and water shield was installed, and the electrical mast was flashed properly to avoid any water getting under it in the future.

Lifted Singles

These shingles began to lift due to warped wood decking underneath.

Curled Shingles Removed

The old shingles were removed to expose the synthetic underlayment. You can see that there is a space between the underlayment and drip edge which has allowed water to get down to the decking.

Curled Decking

The old decking had water damage. Therefore, the decking began to curl up, allowing water to get down under it and was beginning to cause fascia issues.
